Nasturtiums

Not your usual fruit and vegetables

It had never occurred to me to eat flowers until I dated a girl who placed nasturtiums and borage flowers in a salad. The colours really appetized the meal and I found myself looking forward to having salads. Nasturtiums have a peppery flavour and they certainly look great on the plate. I wonder if it isn't the fact that they look so good was the reason I felt so good? And another big plus about using flowers in your meal is children love eating flowers. I've watched children have great fun eating a meal when flowers are part of the menu. If you haven't tried nasturtiums and borage flowers in your food before, I highly recommend you try it.
